Our long and extensive experience building and renovating properties in Cornwall spans over 16 years. From nurturing our business and refining our services we have consistently grown to become a contractor of choice in Cornwall. We cannot always show each and every one of our archived building projects but the following properties are examples of our previous and smaller works. From new builds to sensitive refurbishments, we are incredibly proud of our history and our continuing achievements.
Riverbank - Renovation and Extension
Situated on the north shoreline of Restonguet Creek, open-plan living, modern design, faultless finishes and stunning views make Riverbank a remarkable property. Our renovation works included the development of a new outdoor terrace, ground floor extension and first storey extension (comprising a master bedroom, dressing room and en-suite bathroom). Owing to intuitive design and exquisite execution, views of the surrounding area and captivating landscapes can be enjoyed throughout the property in unquestionable comfort.
Loenoweth - Refurbishment, New Build and Extension
Loenoweth is one of the grandest properties in Cornwall. With a private tennis court, extensive gardens and stunning coastal views overlooking The Roseland Peninsula, it truly is a hidden treasure. Our client instructed three stages of works: phase one included internal renovations, phase two combined the construction of matching extensions and phase three incorporated the erection of a central extension and lavish balcony. Through sensitive logistical planning our clients remained living in the property whilst each stage of works was completed. External restrictions requiring further consideration included limited access across a weight restricted bridge and a narrow beachfront.
Gargus Farmhouse - Refurbishment
Marooned on agricultural land in Tregogny, the hidden beauty of Gargus Farmhouse was recognised by our clients who commissioned us to complete an extensive renovation programme. Despite its original poor condition, after a period of consultation and a programme of comprehensive works, the property now presents spacious and contemporary living standards. A modern conservatory, new double garage, replaced doors, all new glazing and plumbing, new wiring, a new heating system and modern roof workings have all transformed this dwelling into a modern and characterful home. The addition of sympathetic décor, a wood burner and new bathroom suites have added to the building’s rural attraction and period allure.
Dolphin Lodge - New Build
Surrounded by protected trees, a stream and Restronguet Creek, the construction of this replacement dwelling presented numerous considerations. Drawing on our professional knowledge and commitment to our core values, we were able to design and build the dream property for our client. There was particular emphasis on creating a welcoming family home and maximising potential space and resources. The installation of solar cells ensures that the owner capitalises on the south facing location whilst dramatically enhancing the property’s EPC rating.
Endcliffe Apartments - New Build Development
Built on the highly desirable seafront at Gyllngvase beach, Endcliffe consists of seven high specification luxury apartments. Generous balconies enable outside summer living over each level, whilst floor-to-ceiling glass provide perfect winter wave-watching opportunities. Bespoke handmade kitchens punctuate the principal internal living areas and sleek bathrooms provide a truly indulgent experience. For added refinement underfloor heating, a telephone entry system and internal lift ensure the property offers security, minimalistic living spaces and modern conveniences.
Higher Lezerea Farm - Refurbishment
Our clients instructed us to renovate and modernise the former farmhouse and barn to current living standards. Each room of the house was stripped and systematically re-instated, the barn underwent an extensive process of works and is now seamlessly connected to the main farmhouse by a sleek glass walkway. Down lights, highly efficient heating panels and sympathetic materials were among many of the new introductions to the building. Charismatic qualities such as an AGA Stove, wood burner and Belfast sink were retained to convey the property’s heritage and traditional identity.
Phillack Church - Refurbishment
Phillack Church is an iconic building in Cornwall. It is only one of two churches in the county to possess a traditional slate swept valley roof. Nova Construction was instructed to undertake an extensive period of repairs and refurbishment to the roof surface and structure. Over-roof scaffolding was installed to facilitate the works whilst the church remained open. Nova Construction completed the works without any form of disruption or inconvenience to the local congregation.
