Major refurbishment – Sold via Savills – Featured in Cornwall Living Magazine
Positioned overlooking Carbis Bay beach, Sundial Court is a well-known and highly desirable private dwelling. Following extensive consultation we were instructed to undertake a major refurbishment and partial extension to unlock this property’s hidden beauty. Works included the sensitive demolition of redundant features, re-engineering of communal areas, the creation of a partially overhanging extension and major groundwork to allow for the creation of an integrated high entry double garage. In addition the removal, restoration and reinstatement of the original parquet flooring was undertaken, all new mechanical and electrical services were installed and a comprehensive internal and external decoration programme was completed.

Major refurbishment, extension and new build
Hidden in a beautiful valley north of Tregony, Creed Barn overlooks the renowned Trewithen Estate. Dating back to the 18th century, the barn had been owned by the same family for the past 300 years and is now a remarkable family home. Our brief included extensive renovations and refurbishments. The entire structure had to be stripped and re-engineered, the garage converted and a link corridor created in keeping with the existing structure. The installation of solar cells, all new plumbing and electrics, underfloor heating and a wealth of audio visual considerations were all undertaken. Externally the landscaping of gardens, plumbing for water features and the conversion of an annexe were all additional tasks undertaken.

With outstanding views of both the North and South Cornish Coasts, Cadogan is a high specification private new build dwelling. As a ‘forever’ home, there was a great emphasis on building a long lasting tailor made residence. Commissioned by a successful local Businessman, the property incorporates many indulgent and admired qualities. Development of four luxury new build dwellings – Repeat investor
Cornish for ‘Hidden Happiness’, Lowena Kelys is a luxury residential development situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Located on the northern edge of St Agnes, the site benefits from views of the nearby beacon and panoramic coastal vistas. The four large dwellings were designed, built and sold by Nova Construction. Each property includes a large open plan kitchen dining area, an orangery or conservatory, a main reception room, TV snug, cloakroom, plant room, utility room and ground floor wet room. The first floor includes four double bedrooms (two of which have en-suites and juliet balconies) each with built in wardrobes. Refurbishment of listed building – Repeat customer
The jewel in the centre of Cornwall’s crown, Truro Cathedral is a medieval style, Grade 1 listed, 19th Century building. Nova Construction has been instrumental in the building’s continued development and maintenance. As a repeat contractor of choice for Truro Diocese, works to date have included the modification and refurbishment of the existing distinctive Cathedral bell-tower structures, the construction and integration of new service facilities and refurbishment of the increasingly popular restaurant. The Cathedral is a building with substantial archaeological significance and therefore particular care and attention had to be used when completing the successful works. Nova Construction is very proud of its longstanding and continued relationship with Truro Cathedral.

Bespoke new build – Breeam Excellence Rating
Commissioned by a local property management company, Marlin House is a remarkable building which has achieved Bream Excellence status. Comprising of three commercial spaces, Nova Construction occupy the first floor whilst the two ground floor offices are privately leased. Nothing endorses our work more than by building the office space we occupy. Comprising of separate secure entrances, multiple offices, meeting rooms, welfare facilities and an access lift, the property is a secure and highly efficient building. Rainwater harvesting, solar panels, smart metres and usage cut-off switches ensure Marlin House has a minimal environmental impact. Externally there is a communal carpark, security gating and compound.

Tucked away on the north eastern fringe of Truro city centre, The Hayes is a collection of contemporary white rendered apartments, semidetached houses and individual dwellings. The distinctive properties include between two and four bedrooms, a master en-suite, gas central heating (with solar assistance), UPVC double glazing, private parking and secluded gardens. The larger individual dwellings benefit from private driveways, inviting balconies and detached double garages. The entire development was managed by Nova Construction as part of its development branch. Priority was given to Owner and Investor satisfaction whilst ensuring the speedy delivery high quality properties.

The Nest is a fine example of modern eco-engineering. Our clients wanted a dwelling with creditable efficiency ratings and low energy costs. Tucked into the bank of the creek at Maenporth, the finished property exceeds the client’s expectations. By incorporating a ground source heat pump and robust insulation solutions throughout; the property provides a stable environment for consistent comfort all year round. Externally the building’s retaining wall and enclosed sweeping landscaped gardens prompt intrigue and wonder. Positioned in a small village west of Falmouth, Churchview uses conventional block construction and finishing methods to deliver an enjoyable family home. The dwelling includes three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a range of reception rooms, a large kitchen diner, a welcoming hallway and a side conservatory. Externally the property has a private gravel driveway, a glazed balcony, landscaped gardens and a large double garage. A key feature of this project was the use of glazing in each room – facilitating a unique view of the stunning Cornish countryside. This combined with the client’s specification ensure the property’s not only encapsulates a modern charm but guarantees ease of use.
